Check the Installation

Confirm the property’s single-phase electrical supply, available capacity, proposed mounting position and cable route before installation.

The WallPod has a fixed 10m charging cable, so check the vehicle’s normal parking position and charging-port location to make sure the cable can be routed safely without creating an unnecessary trip or vehicle-movement hazard.

Where dynamic load balancing is required, also identify a suitable position for the supplied CT clamp and confirm the required communications setup.

Mount and Connect

Install the Rolec WallPod on a suitable wall or compatible mounting post and connect the charger in accordance with the latest Rolec installation instructions and applicable electrical requirements.

The unit incorporates PME fault detection, overcurrent protection and 6mA DC leakage protection. The exact circuit design and any additional protective devices should still be determined by the installer against the current manufacturer documentation and relevant wiring regulations.

Commissioning and Handover

Complete commissioning and configure the required operating method, whether plug & go, RFID or app-controlled charging.

Set up the required 4G, Wi-Fi or Ethernet connection, configure dynamic load balancing and connect the WallPod to the selected compatible chargepoint management platform where required.

Before handover, test the charging session, smart controls and RFID access, then show the customer how to operate and safely store the 10m tethered cable.
