UK Government offers Electric Vehicle Charging Point grants through the Office of Zero Emission Vehicles (OZEV) formerly OLEV

The grants available depend on usage and are categorised as follows:

• Electric Vehicle Homecharge Scheme (EVHS)
• Workplace Charging Scheme (WCS)
• On-street Residential Chargepoint Scheme (ORCS)

The homecharge scheme can offer up to 75% towards the cost of domestic EV electric vehicle charge point installation or to the value of £350.

The workplace charging scheme is voucher based support towards upfront costs of EV electric vehicle charging point installation and is suitable for businesses, not-for-profits and public sector organisations.

The On street residential charge scheme is for local authorities requiring grant support for installing on-street residential charging points.

Electric vehicle charging point installers are required to apply for authorisation directly from OLEV. If successful EV Charge point installers will be issued with official OLEV documentation and allocated a unique installer number; which must be made available to you upon request. Always check they have the necessary credentials.

Volta Charge Point is a supplier of EV charge points and can offer a variety of different OLEV approved manufacturers to find the product which suits your needs and budget.
