Government Grant Available
The UK Government offers EV electric vehicle charging point installation grants through the office of Zero Emission Vehicles (OZEV).
The grants available depend on usage and are categorised as follows:
• Workplace Charging Scheme (WCS)
• On-street Residential Chargepoint Scheme (ORCS)
WCS
The workplace charging scheme is voucher based support towards upfront costs of EV electric vehicle charging point installation and is suitable for businesses, not-for-profits and public sector organisations.
ORCS
The On street residential charge scheme is for local authorities requiring grant support for installing on-street residential charging points.
